Karen Harrison qualified as a teacher in 2001 after completing a BA (Hons) and QTS at Bath Spa University College. She has since been teacher and leader in South London. Karen has held various roles such as SENDCO, Inclusion Leader, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Assistant Headteacher. She has a wealth of experience in leading SEND provision, including establishing a resource base for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties and a Nurture Group.
Karen first joined STEP Academy Trust in 2016 as part of the Senior Leadership Team at Tudor Academy in Croydon. Her current role is Trust SEND Lead, working with the academies and outside agencies in the South London and East Sussex areas, to advise, support and secure effective provision for children in mainstream settings.
