Also known as ‘FoW’ or the PTA (Parent Teacher Association), the Friends of White House are a group of parents, carers and Academy staff who raise funds to provide activities, equipment and experiences that could not otherwise be provided from the normal school budget for the children who attend White House Academy.
In the past, we have contributed towards classroom equipment, library books, Pantomimes, outdoor gazebos to provide shade in the summer, leavers’ activities for Year 6 and new playground marking. Our latest project was a renovation of the school library to celebrate 10 years of White House being at its current location.
As well as Summer and Christmas Fairs we also organise and run school discos and Present Rooms at Christmas and for both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day where the children can purchase presents for the special people in their lives.
It is important to us to ensure that the children have lots of fun to compliment all the hard work they do during the school day and we are always looking for volunteers who can help or even just offer ideas. If you would like to get involved or find out more please give your details to the Academy Office to pass on to us or email us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org.
